01/Apr/2008 - Alejandro Millán talks about the music of Hello Madness
After playing with bands like Elfonía and Stream of Passion,
the Mexican composer now focuses all his energy in this new project of his own.
Hello Madness represents a big challenge for him, and it's very
different to what he has done in his other projects. "For this album I decided to
make music with clear and specific musical content. This is definitely a rock album!", said Millán.
He mentioned that the music is centered in melodies and not virtuosity. "This work is
focused on feelings and emotions. I needed musicians who were able to communicate these aspects...
I needed musicians who enjoyed the songs very much."
Also, he pointed that he always wanted to record an album without guitars. So, the main
elements in the songs of Hello Madness are vocals, keyboards, bass and drums.
Finally, receiving the songwriting award in his country, back in November 2006, gave him the perfect
opportunity to work on this album, having the absolute freedom of developing an idea that is now a reality.
11/Feb/2008 - Recordings are finished!
The album includes 11 tracks, all written by Alejandro Millán.
After ten months of composing, five of recording and one of mixing, the first album of Hello Madness
is now finished. "This project has been a big challenge for me. It's the first I write all the music and lyrics
for an album, and I'm proud to say that everything turned out just the way I wanted to", said Millán.
Two other musicians join Millán in this new adventure, Pablo González (ex-Elfonía, Claxons)
on bass guitar and Enrique "Bugs" González (ex-Jumbo) on drums. This is how Hello Madness
integrates the right elements to create its unique sound.
Piano, bass and drums were recorded in El Cielo Recording Studio, which took three days to
complete the interventions. Later, the voice and keyboards were recorded in The Note Garden Records Studio.
Finally, the mix was done in Holland by Joost van den Broek (After Forever).
So, after a year and a half, Hello Madness is almost ready to rock!
21/Jun/2007 - Hello Madness will start recording next week!
Next week the mexican drummer Enrique Bugs Gonzlez and Alejandro Milln will enter
El Cielo studios in Monterrey, Mexico to record the drums for the first album of Hello Madness.
Bugs is a great and very experienced drummer. Hes true professional. So far he has impressed me. I have complete confidence
that were going to have fun in the studio with amazing results. We both are looking forward to next Monday! Alejandro said.
They have been working on the tracks for some weeks and now theyre preparing the last details for the recordings!
Be ready for the madness!

Davy Mickers enters Excess studios for Unwritten Pages!
Tuesday, 26 Sep 2006
After initial attempts to record Davy's drums, both Fred and Davy weren't satisfied
with how the recordings turned out; they decided that it was neither the sound,
nor the circumstances they were looking for to pull it off. However, July was far
from being a month of failure: the recording session turned out to be a pool of
useful information and directions of where they want to take the drums and thus a
fundamental structure for the album.
In October Unwritten Pages enter Excess
studios in Rotterdam, which should offer them all the fine qualities they require
in order to make the drums sound huge and kickin'. After having applied the trial
and error method for some time now, this also finally marks the start of the
album production.
